Volunteer!
At Helping Parrots, our volunteers are the heart of our mission, providing essential care, support, and advocacy for parrots in need. Whether you're an experienced bird person or someone eager to learn, there's a place for you here.
Ways To Volunteer:
- Parrot Care: Assist with feeding, training, cleaning cages, and providing daily enrichment activities to ensure our parrots thrive and teaching behaviors that will help them thrive in their new home.
- Transport Assistance: Help with transporting parrots to and from, foster homes, surrenders, adoption events, etc...
- Event Support: Join us at community outreach events to raise awareness about parrot welfare and promote adoption.
- Administrative Help: Support our team with tasks such as data entry, social media management, and fundraising/event planning.
- Construction Help: Lend a hand with building or repairing aviaries, fences, gardening, and other projects.

Helping Parrots is a safe haven for parrots who have been neglected, surrendered, or abandoned. But we can't do this without your support. Your donations make a real difference, providing food, medical care, enrichment, and the love these incredible birds deserve. Every contribution brings us one step closer to giving them a second chance at life.
Where Your Dollar Goes:
- Veterinary Care: Many of our rescues arrive with untreated health issues that require immediate attention.
- Diet: Parrots need a specialized diet to stay healthy, included pellets, veggie chop, nuts, and seeds.
- Cage & Aviary Upgrades: We’re constantly improving our facility to give the birds more room to stretch their wings.
- Toys & Enrichment: Parrots are highly intelligent and need mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy.
- Rescue Missions & Transport: Sometimes we need to travel to bring a bird to safety.
